Ranger Boats

Ranger Boats are a popular line of bass fishing boats designed primarily for blackbass fishing. The company was founded in 1968 by Forrest L. Wood in Flippin, Arkansas. Ranger is generally credited with the introduction of the modern bass boat.
The worlds largest recreational boat manufacturer. Ranger is a major sponsor of the Wal-Mart FLW Tour of bass fishing tournaments; the tours initials are taken from Wood, and its championship event is named the Forrest Wood Cup.

Flat Bottom Boats

A flat-bottomed boat is a boat with a flat bottomed, two-chined hull, which allows it be used in shallow bodies of water, such as rivers, because it is less likely to ground.

The flat hull also makes the boat more stable in calm water, which is good for hunters and anglers. However this design becomes less stable in choppy water. This is because it causes the boat to travel on the water, instead of through it, as a boat with a rounded or V-shaped hull would.

Flat hulls are simple to construct, making them popular with boat-building hobbyists.

In Britain they came to popular notice during the Planned French Invasion of Britain in 1759, when a large-number of flat-bottomed boats were prepared by the French to ferry their invasion force across the channel and a number were destroyed during the British Raid on Le Havre. The flat-bottoms are mentioned in the song Heart of Oak written by David Garrick during 1759.

Aluminum Boat Repair

Repairing an aluminium boat is much easier than repairing a fiber glass boat. If your aluminium boat has a dent in it can be repaired by banging the damaged area with a hammer. You can also cut and replace the damaged portion easily. But repairing a fiber glass boat is difficult. You cannot use the hammer or cut and replace small portions. So aluminium boats are economically more viable. The best part is that you can repair an aluminium boat yourself

Most government boats are made of aluminium. Luxury yachts are made of this material. Statistically half of USA’s boats are aluminium built. There are quite a few reasons for this choice. Some of the small sized aluminium boats have thin-hull and are fastened with rivets. They are great for rivers as well as salt water navigation. They are extremely lightweight. So carrying them is never a problem. This also ensures that these boats provide excellent speed and less fuel consumption. Heavy boats on the other hand consume gallons of fuel.
